Driving efficiency through automation at Groep Roussel

Groep Roussel holds interests in manufacturing businesses operating in niche markets in the building industry.
From their automated warehouse, they supply building professionals through e-commerce channels.

At the time, the need for automation had become increasingly urgent for Groep Roussel. Managing over 3,000 pallets and more than 2,000 SKUs meant that a traditional, manual warehouse setup was no longer sustainable. Furthermore, with inventory responsibility in the industry shifting upstream to the manufacturer, the company required a faster, error-free logistics process.

Motus Handling stepped in to engineer and build a tailored solution from the ground up as a turn-key solution, including a WMS system.
Custom-built cranes, conveying systems and racks were installed, all managed by a WMS system.
As part of the production takes place on the top floor, an elevator was designed to bring the assembled parts into the warehouse.
