Driving efficiency through automation at Groep Roussel

  • Customer

Groep Roussel holds interests in manufacturing businesses operating in niche markets in the building industry.
Out of their automated warehouse, they deliver e-commerce to building professionals.

  • Challenge

At the time, the need for automation had become increasingly urgent for Groep Roussel. Managing over 3,000 pallets and more than 2,000 SKUs meant that a traditional, manual warehouse setup was no longer sustainable. Furthermore, with inventory responsibility in the industry shifting upstream to the manufacturer, the company required a faster, error-free logistics process.

  • Solution

Motus Handling stepped in to engineer and build a tailored solution from the ground up as a turn key solution., including a WMS system.
Custom build cranes, conveying systems and racks were installed, all managed by a WMS system.
As some production is taking place at the top floor, an elevator was designed to bring the assembled parts into the warehouse.
