Automated pallet handling from production to truck
-
Customer
A customer active in injection moulding was looking to automate the process between production and truck loading.
-
Challenge
Pallet handling at the end of the production line is often a source of inefficiency. Manual interventions, inconsistent pallet quality, and fragmented processes can lead to delays and bottlenecks between production and shipping. A customer active in injection moulding needed a reliable and fully controlled process to ensure a continuous flow while maintaining strict quality standards.
-
Solution
Motus Handling designed and implemented a fully integrated end-of-line pallet handling system, connecting the production floor directly to the loading dock. Every pallet is automatically checked for dimensions, weight, wooden base integrity, and barcode identification. When required, a custom-built squeezing device corrects dimensional deviations in real time.
Based on these checks, the system determines the necessary actions, such as wrapping, strapping, and labeling. Pallets are buffered to maintain a smooth flow and are then automatically loaded into trucks. Pallets that do not meet the required criteria and cannot be corrected are detected and diverted automatically.

Result
The result is a continuous and predictable pallet flow with minimal manual intervention. The customer benefits from improved consistency, reduced errors, and higher throughput. The entire process operates as one integrated system, eliminating bottlenecks and ensuring full control from production to shipment.
