The customer is the European market leader in veneer wood processing.
Challenge

The product to be sorted varies significantly in size and shape. Veneer bundles can be conical, banana-shaped, or curved, and may differ in color and gloss. In that respect, this project was highly unique and technically challenging.
Solution

Stacking presented an additional challenge due to the wide variation in shapes. This was successfully achieved through a unique alignment system, combined with the automatic feeding of spacer strips onto the stacks.
